Two things. One: I’ve never tried my hand at nail art before (too scared they might look tacky on me). Two: I love the colour combination of mint and chocolate together. It’s such a fresh combo that looks good no matter the season.

Feeling bored one day I thought I’d do something other than just paint my nails a single colour. But since I don’t have the talent to do anything complicated, the easiest thing I could think of was doing mint and chocolate diagonal colour blocking on my nails. This is how it turned out.

Overall I’m quite happy with it and I don’t think it looks tacky at all. Here are the simple steps I took to do the above nail look, using Hot Coco and Mint Candy Apple both from Essie.
